The Vietnam Traveling Wall Is Coming

Hello Scouters,

I hope the evening finds you well and your Mothers Day was the Best 🙂

Please Mark Your Calenders

On July the 14th 15 & 16th 8:30 am to 9:00 pm  their is a very big event that is happening in Penndel. The Vietnam Traveling Wall is coming. The wall is 3/5 large-scale replica of the of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC.

This is a very rare event for the Delaware Valley. The wall will be set up at the Penndel Memorial Ball Field on PFC John Dalola Ball Field.

Moms Dads Scouts we have been asked by The Wall Committee as Scouting Volunteers to participate with assistance for this Great event.

What would we be doing?

Help Police in the ball field,

Handing out programs,

Setting up & removing the seating every morning and night,

Working in the parking area policing the area and helping to keep the buses clean.

If any adults  would like to volunteer at other times there will be other needs as well.

All scouts will be asked to wear a class B uniform.

You will be able to help with some or all.

For more information on The Wall check out their page on Facebook

This is an honor for our Troop 82 and families to be asked.

I will be the contact person

Should you have any Questions feel free respond

Sincerely

Yours In Scouting

Help Needed for Colin Weeks’ Eagle Project

For those scouts not going camping, help with Coin Weeks’ Eagle Project would be appreciated!

From Colin:
At last Monday’s meeting I asked for volunteers to assist with my Eagle Scout Project on Saturday May 19th. I am asking for participation of scouts that are not attending the Whitewater Rafting trip. The project entails installing an historic mile marker on Route 13 the intersection of Bristol Pike and Park Avenue in Bensalem. All those who show up should be there at 10, and will work for about 3 hours. Pizza will be provided for all who put into the project.

Adopt A Highway for this Saturday is cancelled.

Hello Everyone,

Adopt-A-Highway is cancelled on Saturday.  With 1-2 inches of rain expected on Saturday morning, besides getting soaked to the bone, the road conditions will be unsafe.  That being said, the safety of everyone is the most important factor in deciding to cancel.

We will try to find a date to reschedule.

YIS,

Celeste

Scout mass is only 2 days away!

Dear Troop:

Our Scout Mass is only 2 days away.

This is our opportunity as a Troop and Pack to come together as a whole SCOUTING FAMILY, show the Parish who we are and thank the Parish for its continued support of us and our fundraisers: stickybuns, greenery, and Penndel Day.
